About Samurai PR
Samurai PR is a specialised public relations and public affairs agency with a Nordic region perspective, and comprises result-oriented consultants who work out of offices in Malmo and Copenhagen. The company is also represented in Stockholm, Oslo and Helsinki. Samurai PR combines journalistic flair and political experience with business acumen and sound strategic media and market knowledge. Ultimately, it is about developing and strengthening our clients’ brands, optimising and focusing their internal and external communication by means of consultancy and quality service. The word ‘Samurai’ means he who serves his master/client.

What is PR?
Public Relations is about reputation. Public Relations is the planned and continued effort to establish and maintain goodwill and mutual understanding between companies and their stakeholders. It is about establishing relations with clients, partners, sub-contractors, authorities, politicians, employees, journalists and the different media.
PR is more than press releases and media management. It comprises all forms of relation-generating communication activities with stakeholders.
Why PR?
Readers find editorial coverage far more credible than advertising. Surveys indicate an 80% credibility rating or higher. Thus, it becomes all the more important to correctly manage and target information and influence the angling of communication in the media. This applies equally to positive and negative news. Our focus is to create positive news in the media that makes it easier for you to attract and retain employees, increase product sales, or strengthen brands or a market position in relation to competitors.
Organisation and PR consultants at Samurai PR
Samurai PR is owned by Mattias Tönnheim, Fredrik Westman and Uffe Erup Larsen, whose skills and expertise complement one another – and form the basis of strong, effective leadership. Samurai PR also draws on a close network of experienced and able consultants in Oslo, Helsinki and Stockholm.
Mattias Tönnheim - has many years’ experience as a PR specialist with overall responsibility for clients, consultancy, media relations as well as the preparation and quality assurance of strategies and overall concept. Mattias comes from a background in the publishing, media and newspaper business, having worked as a journalist, editor, project manager and CEO. He has worked in the PR sector since 2002. Mattias is a member of the board of the professional organisation Svenska PR-företagen (Swedish PR Association) and has a passion for Japanese culture and Budo. Mattias is the founder and chief owner of the Swedish division of Samurai PR.
Uffe Erup Larsen - Uffe is an experienced PR specialist with overall responsibility for clients, consultancy, media relations as well as the preparation and quality assurance of strategies and overall concept. Uffe holds an MSc in communication management from Copenhagen Business School and has taken a course of further study at the Danish School of Journalism. Uffe has a background in the IT sector where he worked as a consultant and country manager at bol.com. Uffe is the founder and owner of the Danish division of Samurai PR.
Fredrik Westman - specialises in public affairs. Fredrik has a political science education and has previously worked with local political issues at the Moderate Party headquarters and worked as a political secretary in Sollentuna Municipality. Fredrik has extensive experience of strategy and campaign planning, media relations and consulting. Fredrik can also draw on experience from his own PR agency and has a pen whose sharpness is equal to that of any sword. Fredrik is a partner in the Swedish division of Samurai PR.

To achieve the best possible result for you as a client, we draw on a carefully selected team of network specialists when working on tasks that require specialist expertise.
